Lo and behold...

Been pretty idle for quite a while.

Managed to get hooked on an interesting and expensive (mostly expensive : / ) arcade game called Senjou no Kizuna.

Actually, I've been waiting quite a while for this machine to find it's way to this country and it's finally here! (3 weeks ago, my post is old) And now I shall rant on about my new on/off expensive hobby.

Well, first up, the POD's as us players call them, are only in Bugis and AMK Hub arcades at the moment. Heard more were gonna come in but for now, it's the only places to play. (Not that I'm complaining, I live quite near both areas)

So what's the hype about it? Well, firstly, it involves big mech beating and shooting the crap out of each other. Gundam for the seasoned folks. It's basically a full cockpit simulator, complete with foot pedals, hand controls, voice comms and all. Supposed to be able to play online with Japan and Hong Kong but we're still waiting for it to go online. Now on to the expensive part, it costs 5 bucks to make a pilot card, you need these to play on the machines or you can't do jack all. Then 2 rounds (1 game) is 5 bucks too which can be one hell of a blow to the piggy bank : /

I'll leave some weblinks below, till next time fanatics!

Last Day...

For every beginning, there's an End...

Couple days back, we graduated...
Released into a world full of unknowns...
Will we climb or will we fall?

Every challenge may be an opportunity
Every day may have a new beginning
We just fail to see it in the right perspective...

So what will happen to us?

Only time will tell, as we move forward...

Step by Step...

It's time to make up our minds...
It's never too late to do what we want...
Give it our all and never give up...

Peace out!

On the first day of book-in... (Humming the tune "On the First day of Christmas")

Lo and behold! The awaited day hath arrived...
What dreaded day, may the inquisitive one ask?
To cut a long story short, I have to head back to my military service since I disrupted it a long way back. That was 3 years ago...

And now the fated day has arrived... What is in store for our intrepid hero? Only time will tell...

5:30 AM : Our hero rises from his slumber, awakened, not by his alarm clock but by the neighbour singing in the shower...

5:45 AM : Rising to the challenge, our hero desperately assembles his gear and a handy rice bar next to the fridge!

6:15 AM : After stopping by the nearby coffee shop to sip a cup of tea, our hero realised he is late! EGAD! He then rushes off in a panic to hail a taxi, TALLY-HO!

7:00 AM : Arrived at the main gate just in the nick of time! Why? Because the canteen just opened! Sat down for another cup of tea.

7:15 AM : Headed in to S1's office to report up... And found out the S1 and most of the high rankers were not in camp...

7:20 AM : Friendly Lieutenant told me to chill on the couch and read the papers if I got bored...

7:30 AM : Afore mentioned paper was read...

7:40 to 11:20 AM : Our lazy hero fell asleep on the couch... (Was a nice couch too.)

11:30 AM : Went off to HQ to swap my Identification Card for a Temp Card.

11:35 AM : Was told to come back after lunch...

11:40 AM : Stumped on what to do, our courageous hero and his sidekick (some random dude that helped me out) went to see what was for lunch.

12:05 PM : Went back to THE couch... and slept...

13:15 PM : Wandered off yet again to HQ, where our quest for the Temp Card was finally completed! Alas, there was no trophy or prize for us...

13:30 PM : Headed out to my soon to be bunk to move my locker in with the help of my fellow sidekicks. Yes, I have many sidekicks!

14:10 After sorting out various issues, including how stupid it is for an organization to force a person to server 50 days inclusive of weekends with various explicit words involved, our hero said some short farewells to his sidekicks and that officer guy who let me sleep on the couch.
He will be back! Too soon...

And with that, our hero returns to do random things!

That's the way it is...

For every beginning, there will to be an Ending.

For every journey's start, there must be an End.

To endure the pain and start anew.

For after end, there will be a new beginning...

The Past, Present & Future

I'd be lying if I said my life is un-intresting, boring, laid-back, etc
But I wouldn't be doing any justice to all those out there who take it like it is and carry on
Although we may keep repeating phrases like
"What's past is past" & "Let by-gones be by-gones"
We can never let go fully
Life, The World, Family & Friends
Will never stop changing, For good, For Worse
So, as all things past, let's keep moving, till the End Day
Never give up & never let go
As what has been left behind you
Made you what you are today

Good Luck to everyone out there, be it rivals, friends, family & enemies.

An answer to a riddle...

Here's a song to get started

For the previous post, most may have guess to be a shadow.
Although most of the lines may point towards that, it is sadly the wrong answer...
What could it be then? Here's a little something to get you thinking.

A short poem by Arthur Hawkwing.

The Forever Friend

On my own, but mostly the savannah,
Where the tumbleweeds fade away and die,
Before the glassy sun burns a summer of crystals,
The glistering waters of the high seas
Of which was so far a place as of where vultures roam.
I looked around but you weren't anywhere...
You used to say that you would never die,
But I took the wrong meaning into my heart.
Now the sea is wild with despair,
Deep blue like a prairie of flowers blue,
Where all children of God rest in eternal peace.
I saw you at the end,
You and I, brother and sister of nature,
Brother and sister of heaven and earth,
Your usually calm and heavenly eyes full of tears,
Bitterly falling one after one into a river,
Then the river of life turned red in blood.
My eyes watched in horror.
Slowly and deadly your heart became poisoned,
You disappeared without saying good-bye,
Not a word came out of your mouth.
You became like desolation in its grave.
When once the skies were a realm of stars
And the sun shone brightly in summer skies,
You were there to share the calmness;
But now I stand here in midst of the tall grass
And only the savannah remains.

And as a parting shot, my time may be short, 11 years from this posting, mayhaps...
I'll never know till the deadline eh?

So, in this short time we all have...

Live life as you want it...

Fare you well.

P.S: To all those who didn't get this far... 'Gone... but not forgotten...'

Rest in peace...

Riddles

With all the turmoil going on in the world, I don't really know how things are gonna be...
I have a feeling we're gonna be screwed over when WWIII hits 'cause idiots in the Middle East with their new found 'It's-not-for-warfare' nuclear power will end up unleashing nukes all over the place... kinda like how a spoilt little brat tosses whatever he has at whatever he wants...

We should thank them in advance though, at least they'll wipe out their pathetic genes from the gene-pool...

A short riddle for all of you to ponder:

I am with you from first cry to last breath.

I am always one step behind and always one step ahead.
I am your worst fear and your welcome friend.

The last line holds the key...
